Re: Cock Up with 3rd Kit...
They said:

The Commemorative Kit echoes the very first to be worn by Thames Ironworks FC – the Hammers’ forerunners – and will mark the official opening of the Club’s new home on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, as well as being worn during our FA Cup campaign.

Sure letting us wear it for the whole 25 minutes our FA Cup campaign lasted wouldn't have hurt anyone...

Did they ever call it a Cup kit? I don't think they did....

Re: Cock Up with 3rd Kit...
As if anyone buying it gives a fuck if it's worn in ONE cup game or not. If people like it they'll buy it. If they don't they won't.

Seem like a lot of people liked the kit and so bought it. Very few people will be taking it back demanding a refund because we didn't wear it against Man City, especially seen as we wore it against Juve on the occasion it was really designed for.

Hardly a 'shocking' administrative error though, is it? A balls up, no more and another stick to beat our precious club with. Yet the newspapers do like you to be shocked at everything.

It's is a lovely looking shirt though I'm tempted to buy it and wear it.

Agreed.Cerberus have done it again.
No decent players will come in - that costs money.

we are a laughing stock.

Re: Cock Up with 3rd Kit...
there was no cock up.

They made a kit to make more money. The kit sold loads and made more money. They care not a jot whether it gets worn or not, only that if it was on TV they might have got more sales and made more money.

Pssst, they only care about making money.

Putting petty squabbles aside, OTB if the FA approved it why wasn't we allowed to wear it?

I don't believe you because you're always wrong.

I know you won't because it doesn't fit in with 'scweam about everything club-related', but that doesn't mean I'm not right.

Why do you think anyone is going to believe you with your track record?

It was approved by the FA. The article is wrong.

Couldn't they have just stuck a big, unobtrusive sticker over it?

It's the flag that's in contravention of the regulations.

The Union Jack is not the national flag.

It's not as if the flag's tiny and not noticeable!

Re: Cock Up with 3rd Kit...
Back to just making things up then?

I certainly didn't say they'd be asking at point of sale. I definitely said they'd ask at some point during the season (and even then I didn't expect it to be everybody, although I might not have said that bit).

Whilst I agree that the kids tickets should never have been pushed the way they were, providing ID to prove your eligibility for one is pointless anyway. I don't have kids but could get ten birth certificates from friends tomorrow if I needed to.

If they'd asked at point of sale, how many tickets do you think wouldn't have been sold?

Johnson 12:30 Tue Jan 10
Re: Cock Up with 3rd Kit...
No, you said they would be seeking ID at sale (they didn't), then you said prior to all deposits being fulfilled (they didn't), then you changed it to the would do it at the turnstiles as that was literally your last hope and they do that sometimes although seem more pre-occupied with making it difficult to get in just by being shit at their jobs.
